Barrow Side Tables

The Barrow Side Table was the next iteration past its Barrow Bench bench counterpart. The decision to utilize a cantilevered top layer of sculptural, negative space to these pieces and expands the viewer’s visual journey. Additionally, the smaller scale of these tables offers more flexibility, allowing the viewer to experience the Barrow design language in smaller-scale spaces. The decision to create two tables was born from a desire to add an element of playfulness to the collection.

Available individually or as a nested pair, the Barrow Side Tables can stand on their own, somewhat monolithic in their presentation, or come together, playfully nesting, to create a dialogue between one another. The studio felt that the scale of these pieces demanded a break in material from all solid wood. The addition of marble tops adds layer and dimension to the predominantly wood collection, breaking up the eye’s journey and allowing the viewer to appreciate the small details of each table individually.

Care Instructions

Solid wood is a living, breathing material. Throughout its lifetime solid wood will absorb and expel moisture and humidity. In the warmer months wood may swell as it gains moisture and in the cooler months it may shrink as it loses moisture. For this reason it is ideal to keep humidity levels in your home between 35%-55%.

The best way to clean your solid wood pieces is with a damp cloth followed by a dry cloth, making sure to remove all excess moisture. If necessary, a mild soap may be used on a solid surface, however you should refrain from using any chemical cleaners or solvents as they may damage the finish of the piece.
